However, India's batting coach Sitanshu Kotak has finally cleared the air, providing an inside look into the team's dressing room dynamics.
Kotak dismissed all speculations of a fallout, stating that both Kohli and Gambhir are working closely together on the team's future strategies, especially with the upcoming World Cup in focus.

Speaking ahead of the second ODI against New Zealand, Sitanshu Kotak confirmed that senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are deeply involved in the planning process. "They constantly discuss our ODI strategies and the roadmap for the World Cup in South Africa with Gautam Gambhir. I am often present during these discussions and have always seen them talking professionally and positively," Kotak said.
He urged fans not to believe everything on social media, emphasizing that the atmosphere within the team is extremely healthy and focused on winning.
Adapting to New ODI Rules
Beyond the rumors, Kotak highlighted that the team is currently focusing on the new ODI ball rule. According to the updated regulations, after the 34th over, the bowling side will have the option to choose one of the two balls for the final 15 overs (35-50). This change requires a shift in batting style, and the coaching staff is working with the players to adapt to this tactical challenge.
